Where the TV goes changes the answer
On a wall, the limit is the zone you are willing to give it — not the whole wall. Roughly half to four-fifths of that zone reads as deliberate; filling it edge to edge does not. We centre the screen at 107 cm unless you tell us where the zone starts.
On a media unit, the feet are the hard limit: they have to land on the top surface. A body that overhangs the unit is common and only a warning. In a cabinet or alcove, both the width and the height are hard limits, and we keep 2 cm clear each side for ventilation and for getting it into the space at all.
Distance then decides everything else: how wide the picture appears, whether 4K is distinguishable from 1080p from where you sit, and how far up you have to look. Body sizes are estimates from typical bezels and feet — check the spec sheet for a specific model.
